The First International Symposium Geo Tunis 2007 : The geomatics from a long lasting development tool to a means for the electronic administration.

The Tunisian Association of the digital geographic information organises under the label "we establish our territory and we base the electronic administration on gematic technologies" the first synposium "Geotunis 2007, taking the opportunity of :

- The twentieth anniversary of the change in order to rekindle its principles.

- The second anniversary of the world summit on information technology in the wish to provide digital solidarity process between peoples.

The task being an equal knowledge development and a stronger control of the digital information and telecommunications technologies with the purpose to decrease the digital gap between peoples. This symposium makes real the resolutions taken during the first national conference on map production "Geotunis 2006" and takes place in the same time with the International group world day celebration on the geographic information systems.
